How it works

"STEPS on the path"

Campbell and Carter walk along side you and your young man

Step 1 - Healthy relationship foundations

Discovery Session

As the first step, we have a Discovery Session with Parents & Caregivers to explore:

  • what you want and need,

  • your values,

  • your young man’s interests, aversions, opportunities & challenges,

  • agreements & boundaries,

  • communication & feedback approach, and

  • what the first "meet and greet" get together with your young man looks like

Meet & Greet

Then, if you would like to move forward, we have a Meet & Greet get together with your son to build rapport and relationship.

And after the initial get together, you talk with your young man to see if he's interested in continuing. If not, that's totally OK!! It only works if it does - no pressure or expectations at all.

If yes, we'll agree what the mentoring catch up looks like (where, what will they be doing etc), book in the mentoring schedule and agree when we have the "Tribe Get Together" sessions.

Tribe Get Togethers are check-in sessions to hear how it's all going, share insights and feedback and make any adjustments.

Step 2 - Companionship & connection

Building Trust

Before each session with your young man, Mentor & Elder have a check-in and pre-briefing.

  • "What's the plan, are you prepared, do have what you need?"

The Mentor then spends time with your young man, and afterwards, The Mentor & Elder have a de-brief.

  • "How did it go, challenges and opportunities, anything that needs to be noted for the next session?"

Step 3 - Tribe get together

Coming Together

With you, your son, Mentor & Elder.

Tribe Get Togethers are check-in sessions to hear how it's all going, share insights and feedback, and make any needed adjustments.
